You know that one game that you really like? Yeah. That one.
Capsule of Beast Capture
Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)
This intricate contraption of metal plates inscribed with delicate runes has the power to capture beasts and enchant them, making them fight for you. A single ruby floats in the center, reflecting the environment around it.
As an action, you can toss the Capsule of Beast Capture at a beast to try to capture it. Make a ranged weapon attack with the Capsule of Beast Capture. Small or smaller beasts have a modifier of -2 to hit. Medium beasts have a modifier of +0. Large or larger beasts have a modifier of +2.
On a hit, the Capsule of Beast Capture fires a red beam of light from the ruby floating in the center and absorbs it, capturing the beast.
A captured creature can attempt to break free on its turn by making a saving throw DC 8 + your spellcasting ability modifier + proficiency bonus. On a successful save, the creature escapes the Capsule of Beast Capture. A captured creature can make this attempt up to three times.
The Capsule of Beast Capture can hold one beast at once.
